JOSS SEARCHLIGHT ‘SOMETHING SPECIAL ART AUCTION’

Last year we were approached by the Joss Searchlight Foundation who were looking for donations from artists to contribute towards their first major event in London.

Joss Searchlight was set up in May 2011 after the sad death of Joss Parkes. Joss was the longest known child survivor of a brainstem glioma. He was given just weeks to live in 2005. Joss’s parents with the help of complementary therapies, prayer and maybe a fair degree of luck, managed to give Joss a happy fulfilled life for nearly another six years.

To raise funds and increase public awareness of Joss Searchlight they are staging an exciting art exhibition and auction to be held in the fashionable Blackall Gallery, Shoreditch, EC3 in March 2013. The exhibition is being supported by some of our nations leading artists, including many from the Royal Academy. Each artist has donated an artwork for ‘Something Special’. This event will embrace painting, sculpture, illustration and photography.

To show our support and help them continue the amazing work they do, we have donated a MINI layered glass piece from our 2012 ‘Pattern’ series, which will be on display and included in a live auction to raise awareness and funds for the work they do.
